The ruins of St Paul

The ruins of St Paul

These are the remains of the 16th-century cathedral of Saint Paul. The cathedral, built from 1582 to 1602 by the Jesuits, was the largest Catholic church in Asia.

The cathedral was destroyed by a fire during a typhoon in 1835.

Now it is one of the most famous tourist sites at Macau.
